One year ago today this little person was seen as a legal part of our family forever. We didn't even know that our hearing was scheduled for April 15th and on that on that day a judge proclaimed us Milo's "official" mother and father. We happened to be walking the "Walk of Hope" and celebrating Milo's special place in our family ~ we had no idea that in another state several thousand miles away.....it was marked in time that he was forever "ours".
While we had always seen Milo as "ours', it brought tears to my eyes knowing that it was "final". That nothing could change the fact that he was our son...now and forever.
So today we celebrate him just a little extra :) and feel so incredibly blessed by his amazing spirit, curiosity for life and love of all things. There is just nothing like viewing the world through the eyes of a child discovering the life around him.

Congratulations on this precious milestone! Now I really know Sofia and Milo are soulmates...both of their adoptions were finalized the same week of the same year. We are both such blessed mommies.
